The restored village is frequently the scene of special events, including flea markets, and Easter egg hunt, an antique and craft market and a Civil War encampment weekend.
Craftspeople and trades people in costume use the techniques of long ago. The village includes a museum of childhood, with antique dolls and toys and small-scale furniture.
